Vietnamese Coffee at Crema in San Jose

No matter what you love, whether it’s coffee, pizza, ice cream or steak, most of us know when we come across a place that serves it up just right with a little extra goodness. I may  speak for a lot of coffee lovers when I say that it’s really hard to find a good espresso drink. It might be hot enough, or have the right strength, with a dense foam, but it’s not often you find a combination of all those things happening at one time.

Fortunately, there is a place in San Jose, CA called Crema Coffee Roasting Company at 950 The Alameda, near the HP Pavillion that gets it right. I just love that no matter who the barista is, I always seem to get an espresso drink that combines key elements: good coffee, great flavor, foam, and of course crema (that golden layer that adds extra delicious flavor and texture when espresso is made just right).

Crema  is one of my favorite places to get coffee. I love the atmosphere, the outdoor patio and of course, the consistently good espresso drinks. I especially love that they serve a great  authentic-style Vietnamese coffee (thanks to the owner who is Vietnamese). If you’ve never had a Vietnamese coffee, it’s typically a little stronger and sweetened with condensed milk that nicely settles at the bottom until you stir. Check out the cool spoon designed to lay across the top of the glass. Gotta love the details!

So if you ever need some quiet time with your laptop and a caffeinated treat, Crema is a good place to visit. In addition to the Vietnamese coffee, I also ordered a latte too today just to share with you. Needless to say, I’m ready for the rest of my day!

Cheers!
