Quick Tip #1

December 2, 2008 by Garlic Girl Leave a Comment

I just love fresh garlic, but sometimes I’m a little lazyabout peeling, slicing or crushing it when I need it. Here’s a great way to always have ready-to-use fresh garlic:

  • Peel 1-2 bulbs of fresh garlic
  • Crush in food processor (I have a mini processor that I use for the sole purpose of crushing garlic).
  • Place in a small container and cover with olive oil
  • Cover and store in cool place. I usually keep mine on the counter for a day or two. If I haven’t used it all, I place in the refrigerator.

I love this method, because I hate to start peeling garlic when I need it. It’s great to just take a whopping spoonful when I’m cooking.
