Do you ever forget about smoothies? I do and I’m not sure why. I get on these kicks where I’m making them almost daily and then all of a sudden months go by and I’ve not made one. This sweet green energy smoothie has me inspired again.
The green smoothie below is inspired by their “Swamp Water” smoothie that combines bananas, apple juice, protein powder, spirulina, bee pollen and carob chips. At home, I make mine a little different.
Ingredients
- 1 banana, frozen cut in pieces
- 1/4 fresh spinach, juiced OR 1 tbsp of green matcha powder (or similar)
- 1 cup nut of plant-based milk e.g., macadamia, almond, soy, oat
- 2 tsp ground flax seeds
- 1 tbsp protein powder
